Ohio Alpha awarded its first Pledge of the Year award to E.W. Stokes on April 4, 1960.
In February of 1961, Ohio Alpha held a “Pledge Weekend.” During the weekend, pledges moved into the house, as the Brothers were kicked out. The purpose was for the pledges to get to know one another, to get organized, learn something of the Fraternity and of its operation and to elect officials for the pledge class.
The house was remodeled in 1964, when the Alumni board granted a $15,000 project budget. The driveway was blacktopped, the foyer and living room were redone, and the entire floor of an apartment complex was purchased as an annex to the house. The house was remodeled again in 1967.
